While maternity leave is a well-established right for mothers, paternity leave for fathers remains a concept that many have not fully embraced. In Indonesia, the provisions governing maternal and parental leave are outlined in the Manpower Act (Law No. 13 of 2003). However, our survey reveals some new aspirations and perspectives regarding the equality of leave rights for fathers and mothers after childbirth.
